What are “large print” coloring pages?
You know how Large Print books feature big thick letters so that the words are easier to read if you have vision issues? Large print coloring pages are a similar concept, but for coloring!
The artwork is specially designed with thick black lines for the benefit of people with low vision.
If you have fine motor issues, the thick black lines help make it easier to color within the lines.
The overall designs are a bit easier and less complex than the super-detailed coloring pages that are often marketed towards adults.
This means that they can often be completed in one sitting, providing you with a few hours of creative relaxation capped off with a wonderful sense of accomplishment when your page is completed!
Although the designs are easy, they’re still engaging and you can choose how detailed you want to be as you color. For instance, I colored in the example below using Posca paint pens. When I finished coloring in the main spaces between the black lines, I doodled more details onto the flower using paint pens, and then finished it off by adding small dots using Ranger Sticklers and Nuvo Crystal Drops. (Scroll further down to see the 3 stages this page went through as I colored!)

About these printable coloring pages
This printable set of Happy Flowers Coloring Pages is delivered to you as an e-book in PDF format.
The fun thing about printable coloring pages is that you can print them as many times as you like (for your own individual, non-commercial, household use only). You can print them on any type of paper that can safely run through your printer, from specially-coated canvas or watercolor paper or even fabric! My favorite paper to print on is Neenah Exact Index 110lb Cardstock, which I love because it is thicker than regular printer paper and also thicker than most paper you'll find in published coloring books. Depending on the type of paper you use, you can color these pages with a wide variety of media beyond the regular markers, gel pens and colored pencils - for instance, why not experiment with acrylics, watercolor pencils, glitter pens, gouache and more!
Another great thing about printables is that you don't have to worry about coloring the page "just right" on your first (or second or third!) try. You can feel free to experiment with different color schemes, different media, and different techniques. It's an opportunity to explore your creativity and have fun, knowing that you can print the page again if you get a new idea or want to take your coloring in a different direction!
These Happy Flowers Coloring Pages appear exclusively in this e-book, which means you won't find them anywhere else - not as freebies nor in my printed published books. It's only available as a PDF, not a printed book, so if you're interested in my printed books, check out my range of 30+ published coloring books!
